Parents

An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a written statement of the Educational Program designed to meet your child’s individual needs.  Every child who receives Special Education Services must have an IEP.

Prior to developing your child’s IEP, an initial Evaluation must be done before any Special Education or Related Services can be provided.  The Evaluation process must occur at least every three years and establishes a foundation for developing an appropriate IEP for your child.

The IEP serves two general purposes:

1. To set reasonable learning goals for your child.
2. To state the services that the School District will provide for your child.
